The Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) are set to host the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) on "Monday Night Football" in Week 11 of the 2023 NFL season.
This is a much-anticipated rematch of Super Bowl LVII and it couldn't be coming at a better time. Philadelphia has the top record in the NFC and Kansas City has the top record in the AFC. Both teams are coming off of bye weeks, so they'll be extra rested, healthy, and prepared for the upcoming game.
According to the folks at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chiefs are 2.5-point favorites over the Eagles in Week 11. The over/under point total is 48 points. The Kansas City moneyline is currently listed at -130, giving the Chiefs a 56.52% implied win probability
The Chiefs won the last matchup when the two teams met in Super Bowl LVII. Some eerily similar circumstances hang over this game, but most notably for Kansas City, they have extra time to prepare. Andy Reid's teams are notoriously successful in both postseason and regular-season play after the bye week. After the win in Super Bowl LVII, Reid's teams now have a 28-4 overall record after the bye week.
Sure, the Chiefs have a lot to overcome in this particular bye week. Namely, they need to figure out a surefire way to improve consistency on the offensive side of the ball. A lot of that has to do with struggles in the passing game at the receiver position.
One benefit to this matchup is that it is set to be played in front of the Kansas City home crowd at Arrowhead Stadium for the first time in four weeks. Chiefs Kingdom will be extra raucous for this matchup, especially given the fact that it's to be played in prime time. That noise will make things extra difficult on the Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia offense.
