The Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) will face the Carolina Panthers (3-7) in Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season at Noon CT on Sunday, Nov. 24.

This might look like a lopsided matchup at face value, but these two teams rarely play each other, which can make for some exciting circumstances. They've only met a total of seven times since 1997. The Chiefs own the series with a 5-2 overall record during that span. The last time these two teams met was during the 2020 NFL season and Kansas City barely eeked out a 33-31 win against the Teddy Bridgewater quarterbacked team.

Now, they'll face Bryce Young, Dave Canales, and a Panthers team that is playing much better as of late than their record might suggest. Carolina is also coming off of their bye week, so they'll be fresh and ready to see how they match up against the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Will you be able to watch that game on TV? If you live in the red areas on the map below you’ll get this game on your local CBS channels, according to 506sports.com:

Even with a noon game against an NFC team, Kansas City still has a king's share of broadcast markets. The blue on the map is the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders, but it's in the late window. The green on the map is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants, the yellow is the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins, and the orange is the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans. That's two division rivalry games and CBS networks would rather broadcast the Chiefs' game.

For the first time this season, the Chiefs will get CBS Sports' No. 2 crew of commentators with Ian Eagle (play-by-play) and Charles Davis (analyst), alongside Evan Washburn (sideline reporter).

What to watch for with Chiefs and Vikings in Week 12?

Both teams could have running backs returning to action this week. Chiefs HC Andy Reid will wait until the end of the practice week to determine whether RB Isiah Pacheco will play. No. 10 is working his way back from an ankle/leg fracture and was designated to return from injured reserve just last week. Pacheco was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. He has participated in a limited capacity during the last four consecutive practice sessions.

Meanwhile, Panthers rookie RB Jonathon Brooks is slated to make his 2024 NFL season debut. The former Texas Longhorn suffered a torn ACL during the 2023 college football season. He was a full participant in practice to start the week.
