The Kansas City Chiefs (8-3) are set to travel to the iconic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin to face the Green Bay Packers (5-6) on "Sunday Night Football" for Week 13 of the 2023 NFL season.
Both teams are coming off wins in Week 12, with the Packers upsetting the Detroit Lions, and the Chiefs defeating their AFC West rival Las Vegas Raiders. Which team will keep their winning ways alive as the regular season continues to inch toward its close?
According to the folks at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chiefs are 6.5-point favorites over the Packers in Week 13. The over/under point total is 42 points. The Kansas City moneyline is currently listed at -258, giving the Chiefs a 72.07% implied win probability
Kansas City has an 8-5-1 series lead over Green Bay dating back to their first meeting in Super Bowl I. The Chiefs won their first game against the Packers with QB Jordan Love as their starter back in the 2021 NFL season. It was Love's first career start, and it wasn't the most resounding win for Kansas City with a 13-7 final score. Love was 19-of-34 for 190 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. That game was also played at Arrowhead Stadium and not the frosty Lambeau Field.
Love is playing much better now and coming off of one of the best performances of his career against the Lions in Week 12. He had a 125.5 passer rating, which was the best mark of his career in a start.
Rain and snow are expected for Sunday night, so the elements will play a factor in this one. Steve Spagnuolo's defense will need to be at their best in order to slow down Love and the red-hot Green Bay offense.
