The Kansas City Chiefs are set to face the Chicago Bears in Week 3 of the 2023 NFL season.

It has been a tumultuous week for the Bears with injury newscomments from their star quarterback, and their defensive coordinator resigning amidst an FBI raid on his home. Even though they're winless, Chicago is the type of team that's the most dangerous in the NFL. Their backs are against the wall, and they have nothing to lose.

Which team will come out on top? Here's everything you need to know to take in the game on Sunday:

Chicago Bears (0-2) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-1)
Date:
Sunday, Sept. 24
Time: 1:25 p.m. CT
Location: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium – Kansas City, Missouri
Betting odds: Chiefs -12.5, Over/Under 49
How to watch on TV: WDAF-TV (FOX Local/National).
Streaming: FuboTV, YouTube TV, NFL+, Network apps, etc.
Radio: WDAF (106.5 FM or on Chiefs mobile app)

Return specialist?

Richie James was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, which means the Chiefs will have a new starting kick returner and punt returner in Week 3. Dave Toub mentioned four players as options, but practice squad elevations suggest that Montrell Washington will be the guy. He had 50 combined punt and kick returns for over 500 yards last season with the Denver Broncos.

Latest on injured Chiefs:

Isiah Pacheco (hamstring), WR Kadarius Toney (toe), and LB Willie Gay Jr. are all listed as questionable heading into the game. Of the three players, Pacheco and Toney have both received positive reports heading into the game. It's going to be a bigger stretch for Gay Jr. to play, but the team seems to have elevated Cole Christiansen from the practice squad just in case

3 players to keep an eye on:

LB Drue Tranquill: Nick Bolton has been ruled out of the game, meaning that Tranquill will wear the green dot and be the defensive signal-caller for Kansas City this week. He has some experience with that during the first two weeks of the 2023 NFL season. The Bears and Justin Fields are a great matchup given Tranquill's speed and range.

WR Rashee Rice: With Richie James sidelined by injury, Rice should see an increase in repetitions this week. Skyy Moore & Justin Watson are likely to fill in on punt/kick return duties, but Rice better fits the role vacated by James on offense. The rookie has quietly been outstanding in limited opportunities compared to other receivers throughout the league.

DT Neil Farrell Jr.: This might be the week the Chiefs decide to debut Neil Farrell Jr. after he was a healthy scratch the first two weeks of the season. He's had plenty of time to learn the playbook and the team could serve to rotate their interior defensive line a bit more after Week 2.
