The Kansas City Chiefs (3-1) are set to travel to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota to face the Minnesota Vikings (1-3) in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season.

Kansas City is fresh off a shaky road win against the New York Jets in prime time during Week 4, while the Vikings managed their first win of the season against a hapless Carolina Panthers team.

According to the folks at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chiefs are 5.5-point favorites over the Vikings in Week 5. The over/under point total is 52 points. The Kansas City moneyline is currently listed at -225, giving the Chiefs a 69.23% implied win probability.

Kansas City is 2-2 against the spread this season and 2-2 on the over/under point totals through four weeks of play. Minnesota is 1-2 against the spread with a push in Week 3 and 1-3 on the over/under point total thus far.

This is the first time in the past two weeks that the Chiefs have been favored by less than a touchdown. It comes after the team played down to their competition on the road in Week 4. The Vikings have really struggled so far this season and barely escaped Carolina with a victory. This could be an opportunity to get out ahead of the curve with three consecutive AFC West games coming from Week 6 through Week 8.
