The Kansas City Chiefs are set to face the Denver Broncos at home under the bright lights of "Thursday Night Football" in Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season.

Short week injuries?
The Chiefs had a short week to recover after a Week 5 game against the Minnesota Vikings that saw some injuries, most notably to TE Travis Kelce. He's listed as questionable heading into the game after a limited practice on Tuesday, during the team's only practice session. Kelce finds him alongside both DE George Karlaftis and P Tommy Townsend listed as questionable to play. Kelce is expected to play, but we'll see what transpires with the other two ahead of the game on Thursday night.
Nick Bolton is ready for lift-off.
Bolton has been cleared to play in Week 6 after missing the past three weeks with an ankle sprain. Drue Tranquill has done a fine job in his place, which begs the question: Will Bolton immediately receive a full workload in his return from injury? Both players have their own strengths and weaknesses. There are ways to get them both on the field at the same time, but there also might be an argument for them to rotate in certain downs and sub-packages.
3 players to keep an eye on:
RB Isiah Pacheco: The Denver Broncos are conceding a league-leading 187.6 rushing yards per game. Last week, they let New York Jets RB Breece Hall steal the show. This feels like a week where the ground game and Pacheco can be a big emphasis for Kansas City. Pacheco is currently averaging 65 rushing yards per game and nearly 20 receiving yards per game.
WR Rashee Rice: Chiefs OC Matt Nagy suggested that Rice is earning more snaps with solid performances through the first five weeks of the 2023 NFL season. The rookie wideout is still being brought along slowly, but it feels like it's only a matter of time before he has a breakthrough game. Will that come against the league's last-ranked defense in Week 6?
S Mike Edwards: Like Rice, Edwards is a player who has shown a ton of promise on the defensive side of the ball with his early play and performance. He's earned the reputation of a ball hawk during his NFL career and that hasn't changed with the Chiefs. Steve Spagnuolo told media members this past week that they're actively adding him to different packages with the goal of him seeing the field more frequently.
More Chiefs news ahead of the game:
