The Kansas City Chiefs are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season.

Omenihu, Hardman debuts

A pair of Chiefs players are set to make their 2023 debuts on Sunday. Charles Omenihu returns from a six-game suspension and is expected to play upward of 20 snaps on defense. Mecole Hardman returns to Kansas City after being traded back by the New York Jets. Expect him to have a package of plays on offense this week where the team is comfortable using him.

3 players to keep an eye on:

LB Drue Tranquill: Tranquill and his former team seem to have some bad blood (Taylor Swift pun unintended). He didn't like the way they strung him along in free agency. Expect him to play with an extra chip on his shoulder in this one.

WR Rashee Rice: The long week to prepare for Week 7 after Thursday night should have given the offensive coaching staff an opportunity to really emphasize Rice's role. With Justin Watson sidelined, he could be the team's top threat at the receiver position.

LT Donovan Smith: This is probably the most potent edge rusher group the Chiefs have faced this season. Smith is going to have his hands full between Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa. He's had some issues with pressures and holding penalties at times this season and those could crop up again in Week 7.
