Pat McAfee and Patrick Mahomes couldn’t hold back their laughter as they watched Nick Saban talk about Wake Forest’s season, using a hand gesture that is well-known across the younger generation.

In a video clip from Saturday’s episode of College GameDay, which was filmed at Mahomes’ alma mater, Texas Tech, Saban was caught doing the 6-7 hand movements. And immediately afterwards, McAfee and Mahomes started doing it right back.

So, for those that don’t know what 6-7 means….. You aren’t alone. It was named Dictionary.com’s Word of the Year for 2025, and in the site’s explanation for choosing it, they say that it’s “impossible to define,” adding that the phrase is “meaningless, ubiquitous, and nonsensical.”

Saban had no idea that he was doing this, but it’s safe to say Gen Z probably LOVED it.

Patrick Mahomes wants this defensive star to get the Heisman Trophy

No player from Texas Tech has ever won the Heisman Trophy, but Mahomes thinks that this is the year for one defensive star to at least be in the conversation.

Of course Mahomes is always going to be showing support to his college team, but when it comes to linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, the stats back up his argument.

In the team’s 29–7 win over BYU, Rodriguez finished with 14 tackles, including nine solo, along with one tackle for loss, one interception, and one fumble recovery.

The team posted that stats with a clear message: “He belongs in NYC.”

And Mahomes agrees.

“Get him to New York! @HeismanTrophy,” the quarterback posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
