Chiefs, Hardman

The Kansas City Chiefs offense exploded onto the scene at 4900 Marie P DeBartolo Way, Santa Clara, California, the Chiefs' new home away from home. In other words, the San Francisco 49ers could stop anything the Chiefs threw at them, even at home at Levi Stadium.

This offense was elite, and I think we all saw that. Everyone was involved, and I do mean everyone. Justin Watson caught a touchdown pass, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and JuJu Smith-Schuster both finished with well over 100 receiving yards, while Travis Kelce was just two short of that same mark.

But one of the biggest surprises was Mecole Hardman, who actually broke an NFL record, or set one, should I say. He was the first receiver ever to have two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown in one game. The best part is, he didn't even know he set a record.

"That's a national league record?" Hardman asked. "Oooooo, that's nice right there! That feels good man! Actually, it's good when we can get those plays called down there at the goal line, they are hard plays to stop because you don't know if I will fake it or actually get the ball, so I'm glad we can call it down there man, and get them things going."

Hardman was doing everything for the team. He was running it very well off of the jet sweeps, and catching the ball in the end zone. Considering the 49ers have an elite defense, Hardman showed elite speed.

"You know, it's really tough, but just going that fast though on the edge, Nick Bosa is a, I mean he is one of the best D-ends in the league, and he still had trouble seeing if I had the ball or not."

The fact that this has never been done before is mind-boggling. If anyone had done it before, it would probably be the guy the Chiefs were playing on Sunday in Deebo Samuel.

Instead, it is Hardman, who has had his fair share of troubles over the years. Well, it is fair to say he may have won the fans back over after Sunday's performance.
