The Kansas City Chiefs have officially given star QB Patrick Mahomes a pay raise.

With the rising QB market, everyone expected the Chiefs to eventually sweeten Patrick Mahomes' deal. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the renegotiated deal will give Mahomes a fully guaranteed $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026, which is good for the most guaranteed money in NFL history in a four-season span.

Equity Sports CEO, Chris Cabott, told Schefter that the two sides are set to revisit the agreement again after the 2026 NFL season.

Mahomes signed a 10-year contract extension back in 2020, which was one of the more unique contracts in league history. It allowed the Chiefs to continue building championship-caliber teams around him, but it also allowed him to drop significantly on the average annual salary list. He'll now average over $52 million per season annually and a total raise of about $48 million over those four seasons.

Keep in mind that the Chiefs didn't tear up the original deal, so Mahomes is technically still under contract through the 2031 NFL season, but those later years effectively act as void years now. Expect that the team will either rework Mahomes' contract again in 2026 or sign him to a brand new extension.

More to come on this story once we know more about the cash flow and salary cap hits from 2023 to 2026.
