The NFL announced the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games rosters on Wednesday evening, with five Chiefs getting selected based on fan voting and their performance during the 2023 NFL season. That's down from the seven players who were selected a season ago.
The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will take place in Orlando, Florida with a multi-day AFC vs. NFC competition led by head coaches Peyton and Eli Manning during the first week of February.
Here's a look at the players selected for Kansas City this year:
TE Travis Kelce
Kelce had the fifth-most Pro Bowl Games fan votes of all NFL players with 327,263. This marks Kelce’s ninth consecutive Pro Bowl selection, which is good for one of the longest active streaks in the NFL.
QB Patrick Mahomes
The trend continues. Every year that Mahomes has been a starter for Kansas City, he’s been named a Pro Bowler. This marks his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl selection, and it comes during what has been a challenging season. He received the third-most fan votes among all NFL quarterbacks, coming behind only 49ers QB Brock Purdy and Dolphins QB Tua Tagavailoa.
C Creed Humphrey
This is Humphrey's second consecutive Pro Bowl selection. The only year he wasn't selected was his rookie campaign in 2021. He had the most Pro Bowl Games fan votes among centers in the AFC conference this year.
DT Chris Jones
Jones has officially earned his fifth-straight Pro Bowl selection. For the second consecutive year, he's the only defensive selection for Kansas City. He didn't have any of his contract incentives attached to a Pro Bowl nod, so this doesn't help the big man out financially, but it certainly helps his legacy.
LG Joe Thuney
For the second consecutive season, Thuney is getting a Pro Bowl nod. He never earned a single Pro Bowl selection during his tenure with the New England Patriots. Now, he's managed two of them.
Pro Bowl Alternates
The following five players were selected as alternates for this year's event:
- CB L'Jarius Sneed
- RG Trey Smith
- RB Isiah Pacheco
- LB Willie Gay Jr.
- LB Nick Bolton
