Former NFL quarterback explains why the Kansas City Chiefs should take a shot on Odell Beckham Jr.

The Kansas City Chiefs need a wide receiver if they want to be able to go for that three-peat, something that has never been done in NFL history. Sure, they need to handle some other business as well, like deciding whether or not they want to bring back Chris Jones or L'Jarius Sneed, among other unrestricted free agents.
But the wide receiver should be the biggest target on the board, whether it's in free agency or the draft. We have already discussed what it would look like if the Chiefs went after a guy like Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and how that contract would work.
There is one other veteran in free agency that the Chiefs could go after that would make sense. Well, there are a few, but this guy is still a star in the league in terms of his name and could still have a lot of juice left. One former NFL star feels the same way and thinks he could be of use to the Chiefs.
The Chiefs SHOULD SIGN Odell Beckham Jr. Last year he proved he is STILL DYNAMIC after being 8th in the NFL averaging 16.1 yards per catch. The Chiefs struggled with drops last year, but OBJ had the lowest drop rate of his career with 1 drop on 64 targets (1.6%). Chief him. Robert Griffin III, Twitter (X)
Now, signing Odell Beckham Jr. would be good for the Chiefs, but only if some things go their way. Last season, the Chiefs and Beckham Jr. were in talks, but the Chiefs didn't want to pay him $15 million, considering he hadn't played since the Super Bowl that saw his team beat the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Chiefs cannot give him $15 million even this year because he still hasn't performed up to the standard of a $15 million receiver. And the Chiefs don't want to give him that money because of the wear and tear of Beckham's body. So, yes, the Chiefs should go after him because he would be the second-best receiver on the team, but only if the money is right.
