The officiating this year as a whole has been terrible. The NFL has gotten so many blatant calls wrong, even when they are video-reviewed, they are still wrong. It happens in almost every game, and almost every single week there is a game on that has a call happen that changes the landscape of the game. It hasn't just been the Kansas City Chiefs to get some calls that go their way.

We have all seen the stats — the Chiefs have had the most penalties called against them since 208 — all of that fancy stuff. But the stats that people care about aren't really tracked — game-changing penalties, or penalties that flip the game upside down because it's a third down, etc. Well, they are, actually, and the people who hate the Chiefs still don't want to listen to those factual numbers.

So, let's see if fans will listen to a former NFL player, and one that won two Super Bowls and has no reason to lie about anything. Especially considering the Chiefs beat his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, in the Super Bowl. Chris Long, a former player, has his own podcast and opened up on all the conspiracy theories as of late.

And he's not wrong one bit.

"The numbers don't back up them getting all these calls," Long said. "Please, if you want to make an argument, other than 'listen to these guys glazeing the Chiefs. Stop **** riding.' That just tells me that's a red flag that the guy doesn't have any brain cells or isn't an analytical thinker. Give me an actual argument. Don't give me some anecdotal bulls**t like well, 'the one time I saw this.' That's not the way the facts are worked out. If you have a serious claim, like the Chiefs get a bunch of calls, yeah, the Chiefs get a bunch of calls. You know who else gets a bunch of calls? Every other f***ing team in the league.

"Just because you saw their game in prime time and really want them to lose, and this is where I'm different than you because I'm not a fan anymore. I was a fan when I was a kid. I played professional football for 11 years and now I analyze it for a living. I'm not saying I'm better than you for that. I wish I could be a fan. But you operate with a certain amount of emotion that I don't have to. The Chiefs don't hurt my feelings. I like greatness and they've been great."

This is just part of being a dynasty. When the New England Patriots were beating teams left and right, they went through some similar things, however, they actually cheated, and yet the Chiefs are getting painted in a worse way than they are and were.

This won't stop, and if they win their third straight Super Bowl it definitely won't stop. And if that does happen, he will have no one on his side as he climbs the ranks into the conversation of the greatest of all time. Well, he will have Chiefs fans and people who actually watch the sport with an unbiased lens.

The Chiefs will play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, with a chance to play either the Eagles or the Washington Commanders in the Super Bowl.
