Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are two of the biggest names in the world right now, with people all over waiting to see their next move. And because of that, they often use their platform for good, encouraging their fans to make a difference.
So because of that, they were both nominated for a Webby Award, which is "the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet," and was even referred to by the New York Times as "The Internet's highest honor.”
Oh and not to mention, they are nominated in the same category, which is Best Creator or Influencer Collaboration, Features (Social).
Swift is nominated for her collaboration with Vote.org on National Voter Registration Day. She posted on Instagram, encouraging her 283 million followers to vote, and according to the nonpartisan Vote.org, they got more than 35,000 registrations (via AP).
Kelce on the other hand is being honored for his collaboration with The Cheesecake Factory on “Fashion Icons.”
The nominees were announced on Tuesday based on 13,000 entries from over 70 countries. There will be two winners from each category, with one decided by a group of selected voters while the others are based on who the people decide.
Kelce was also nominated in the Sports, Shows (Podcasts) field along with his brother, Jason Kelce for their New Heights podcast.
The 2024 Webby Awards will take place on May 13 in New York City.
