The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, meaning the preseason is finally over for these two teams. While I'd love to move straight to the regular season, there is still a significant date we need to know about.'

Tuesday the Chiefs, and every other team for that matter, have to cut their roster from 80 players to 53. So this last preseason game was important, for obvious reasons.

Here are some guys on the defense that may have solidified their roster spot on Thursday after the win over Green Bay.

DE Joshua Kaindoh

The second-year defensive end did a little bit of everything on Thursday, in terms of things we wanted to see. He stopped the run on the outside with a tackle for loss. He brought the quarterback down for a sack, and he was around the ball a few different times.

Kaindoh didn't play a large number of snaps, but when he was out there he was productive, and that's all the Chiefs want out of him. I can see Kaindoh making the roster to help the edge position depth a bit more, as right now it's Clark, Karlaftis, Dunlap, and Kaindoh, in my opinion.

LB Darrius Harris

There was a span of three straight plays where Harris was the guy ending the play with a tackle or stop. He was everywhere when he was in the game, including a very good blitz up the middle on a run stop for several yards.

Harris may have made the roster based on the style of play he has shown. He plays just like Bolton and Gay Jr., and that's what the Chiefs will want in a backup linebacker. Harris solidified his roster spot when he went out there and showed he could consistently stay around the ball as a defender.

DB Bryan Cook

Cook had a huge play that we all probably remember in this game. Jordan Love, the Packers' backup quarterback, overthrew his receiver and Cook was there for the interception. It seemed like in the second half we were hearing Cooks' name consistently.

He finished with a pass breakup, too, only further showing that he is a ball hawk. Cook also finished with four tackles and one tackle for loss. Yes, Cook was a second-round pick, so he was likely going to get a shot even if he didn't play well, just because the Chiefs want to use the capital they have spent. However, Cook showed that he can play during the regular season if needed.
