The Kansas City Chiefs are back to the Super Bowl, a sentence you have likely heard so many times now. But, the reality of the current day and age of the NFL is that the Chiefs run things. They have been doing this for seven years now — seven straight AFC Championship appearances, and five Super Bowl appearances.

The AFC runs through Kansas City. If you want to get to a Super Bowl and you're in the AFC, you have to beat the Chiefs. And, so far, in the last seven seasons, no one has done that before the AFC Championship game. As I said earlier, they have been doing this for so long that there are players who used to play for the Chiefs who have moved on to other teams but are still rooting for the Chiefs.

Guys like Tyreek Hill, Khalen Saunders, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Donovan Smith, and others are in awe of what the Chiefs are doing, and what Patrick Mahomes is doing and has become. And, as players who have seen it all up close and personal, it's amazing to think about how they still get amazed.

Saunders after the game sent out a flurry of tweets about the Chiefs, but started with "Goatrick Mahomes." And to that tweet, Tyreek Hill replied "Man the goat of our era." Donovan Smith, who was with the Chiefs last season, and a player the entire fan base wanted the team to bring back, tweeted "Three Peat Loading ……"

Saunders then went on a rant about him being so excited for the Chiefs.

"Yall gotta understand, For guys like myself, the cheetah (Tyreek Hill), Willie Gay Jr., (L'Jarius) Sneed, and others that have moved on from the Chiefs still want to see them do good bc at the end of the day, this shit is history we are witnessing. And we part of that. So yes whenever I ain’t in it it’s KC."

What this team and what Mahomes has done is incredible. Forget all of the ref talk — this is history and pure greatness.
