On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs got their Week 2 started with a shot at redemption against the Philadelphia Eagles, who just beat them in the Super Bowl a few months ago. Winning this wouldn’t be quite the same for KC, but it would be something. That’s why Travis Kelce was on the sideline so fired up after a touchdown.

On a Patrick Mahomes score that saw him run it into the end zone himself, shortly after running over a defender the play before, Kelce threw his helmet on the sideline, and yelled at everyone.

“I’m sick of this sh*t,” Kelce yelled.

We’ve all seen this before.

Chiefs’ Travis Kelce has had sideline moments before

Two years ago, in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers, when the Chiefs walked it off, Kelce actually threw his helmet, got in Andy Reid’s face, and yelled. It wasn’t a great look, sure, but it didn’t bother Reid. In fact, it fired everyone up. This was a similar thing. The Chiefs ended up winning that game, but for some reason, all of the talking heads on Fox Sports or ESPN, and anywhere else, wanted to talk about how “bad a person” that made Kelce.

This one saw the Chiefs end up having an opportunity to tie the game in the fourth quarter, and maybe even take the lead, had Kelce not dropped a pass from Mahomes that led to an interception. Kelce plays with passion, a lot of it, and let’s be honest: this team is not used to their offense being bad – it’s especially not used to having to have Mahomes be their leading rusher two weeks in a row.

That doesn’t make Kelce a bad dude. In fact, multiple reporters at the game said that Kelce and Reid were yapping back and forth at each other. The Chiefs and Kelce will be okay.
