Travis Kelce's approach to the offseason is exactly what the Kansas City Chiefs need

The Kansas City Chiefs could go into the 2022 season with the exact same approach they had in 2021 and they'd still be considered one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the NFL.
But that's not how the Chiefs are choosing to attack the offseason.
Well, at least that's not how tight end Travis Kelce is choosing to go about the offseason.
The superstar tight end is coming off his sixth straight season with at least 1,000 receiving yards and 80 receptions (Kelce caught 92 passes for 1,125 yards and nine touchdowns in 2021). He could easily waltz into the 2022 season picking up where he left off without changing a thing and still be one of the best players in the NFL.
But that's not how Kelce is wired.
Instead, the former Cincinnati Bearcats standout wants to go into the 2022 season with a new mentality, and new ideas.
"You can't go in there with the same mentality, the same skill set," said Kelce at the Pro Bowl this weekend. "You've got to keep trying to find ways to have that new success."
The Chiefs' offense is elite without changing a thing. What happened in the AFC Championship game loss to the Cincinnati Bengals was a perfect storm of great halftime adjustments by Cincy and a rare "off half" from Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
That's why this team is a Super Bowl contender every year. They're never satisfied with "good enough". They continue to push forward and find new ways to attack defenses.
The Chiefs are going to be the hungriest team in the NFL in 2022. And that's bad news for the rest of the league.
