Travis Kelce’s pregame outfit was the perfect tribute to one of Taylor Swift’s most talked-about songs from her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. Track nine is titled “Wood,” and it’s certainly one of the singer’s most suggestive songs ever.

She certainly shocked fans with the lyrics that speak highly of Kelce.

So, was Kelce’s pregame “lumberjack” look before the Kansas City Chiefs’ primetime game against the Detroit Lions a sweet tribute to his fiancée?

Some of the ‘Wood’ lyrics about Travis Kelce

  • And, baby, I’ll admit I’ve been a little superstitious (Superstitious) / Fingers crossed until you put your hand on mine (Ah) / Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck
  • (Ah) It’s you and me forever dancing in the dark

However, considering some of her suggestive lines, we decided not to include them all, so if you are curious, here are the full lyrics.

Taylor Swift claims ‘Wood’ started from an ‘innocent place’

Following the release of her 12th studio album, Swift did numerous interviews, including one on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The two went over the inspiration behind all 12 of her songs, including a few that are about her love story with Kelce.

Whether it’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Opalite,” “Eldest Daughter,” “Wi$h Li$t,” or “Honey, her love for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is clear. And of course, there’s also “Wood.”

So, when speaking with Fallon, Swift had a hilarious admission about how this song came to be what it is.

“ I brought this into the studio and I was like, ‘I wanna sort of do a throwback kind of timeless sounding song,’” she explained. “It really started out in a very innocent place! I don’t know what happened, man, once I got in there, we started vibing, and I don’t know.”
