March Madness is finally here, and Jason and Travis Kelce are ensuring they are getting the 92%ers involved in the best way.
During their latest episode of New Heights on Wednesday, March 19, the brothers announced that they have set up both a men's and women's bracket that fans can join. The winners will get a golden New Heights cup.
And Travis also gave his picks for who he is looking at heading into the tournament.
"The West has one of my favorite teams in the NCAA right now, and that's Drake," Travis said. "Drake University, they have a fun story. Their coach and at least four of their players are from Division II. Yeah, Northwest Missouri State coach brought them all with them. Yeah, they're they had a lot of transfers when the Drake coach from last year went to West Virginia. A lot of the players that were on that team kind of went on their own or did their own thing, and then the new head coach was looking for players to bring in. So he brought in his D-II Guys and a couple guys from Wyoming. They got some guys that could play, although I think Missouri is a really good team, and that's going to be a tough game for him. That's like my Cinderella team this year. I'm rooting for them."
But, of course he had to give a shoutout to Patrick Mahomes' alma mater.
"And then, on top of that, watching Texas Tech, I know Patty Mahomes is going to love hearing this," he continued. "If they can stay healthy, and I think they've got a f****** great coach. They've got great players, a lot of athletes. They can make a run at it."
And then, there was one more team he had to mention.
"Yeah, Hunter Dickinson, I think you know, Kansas, Bill Self, they're always going to be a team that you've got to account for," Travis added. "Man, if they could. They can pull it together and make a run against anybody. So you've got to keep that in mind."
However, they couldn't forget about the women's tournament. And the brothers took a moment to shout out one very special player who has been dominating throughout their college career.
"UConn's very own Paige Bueckers has been crushing it," Travis said. "Her return to elite form after battling through some serious injuries proves why she's one if the most hyped recruits."
"That's right. Bueckers has the Nike mindset with a relentless pursuit. When the world says no, she says yes," Jason added.
"What makes Bueckers so special is her combination of elite skills, incredible resilience," Travis continued. "She becomes an inspiration for young players everywhere. She shows that setbacks don't define you. It's how you respond to them that matters."
