Travis Kelce’s thoroughbred racehorse named Swift Delivery kicks off August in a major way
“August slipped away into a moment in time”
Travis Kelce is starting the month with a big win.
In September 2024, it was reported that Kelce acquired a share of Team Valor’s 3-year-old Thoroughbred, and the name was just too perfect. The thoroughbred was named Swift Delivery, and on an episode of the New Heights podcast shortly after he made the purchase, Kelce revealed his motivated for investing.
“Did the name prompt interest?” Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, asked.
“I will say, you know, when the stars align, it just feels good to jump on board,” Travis admitted.
And on Saturday, Swift Delivery kicked off “August” with a win at the Seagram Cup Stakes, which is just too perfect considering the connection this month has to the singer.
“August” is a hit song from Swift’s album Folklore, so this month always has Swifties quoting lines from the song.
This is a good sign for what’s to come for Kelce.
