Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith is a lifelong WWE fan.

It's not for everybody, but WWE certainly has a large and passionate fanbase. Smith actually appeared in two segments of "Monday Night Raw" back in April of 2024 alongside his teammates Creed Humphrey and Patrick Mahomes.

Tons of professional wrestlers were former football players, so the link between them is easy. Smith joined the New Heights Podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce on Wednesday. They got on the subject of WWE, and Smith said that Humphrey would no-doubt be his tag team partner, with their team name being "Ebony and Ivory."

Smith then went on to build an NFL starting offensive lineup by using WWE superstars from all eras. Here's what he came up with:

QB- CM PUNK

At first I was a bit skeptical of this choice, but Smith made a strong argument. CM Punk is one of the best talkers in pro wrestling history, and it is critical for QBs to be good communicators. He would also do a great job of rallying his teammates and keeping them motivated.

RB- Rey Mysterio

Another solid choice by Smith here. The luchador Mysterio is small, fast, and extremely athletic. Jason likened Mysterio to former NFL RB Darren Sproles, which is a solid comparison.

WRs- Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Hornswoggle

Kingston and R-Truth were among the most athletically gifted pro wrestlers of all-time during their primes. I could see Kingston being similar to Tyreek Hill as a deep threat and dangerous with the ball in his hands in the open field. I visualize R-Truth as a precise route runner who can win with speed and power. As for Hornswoggle, who stands at 4-foot-5 and 137 pounds, Smith was likely kidding.

TEs- The Rock, John Cena

The Rock and Cena are each former college football players, with The Rock playing defensive tackle and Cena at center. Both definitely have TE body types and could be excellent blockers. Their size would present mismatches for defensive backs on high throws, but speed could be an issue for both.

OL- Big Show, Andre the Giant, The Great Khali, Mark Henry

Even non-pro wrestling probably know Big Show, The Great Khali, and certainly Andre the Giant. You may not be as familiar with Henry, but believe it or not he was likely stronger than all three of the others as a former multi-time strongman competition winner.
This OL line composed by Smith would be absolutely massive, but wouldn't be very fast or fluid. Since Smith only named four, perhaps he'll lock down his position of right guard himself.
