The Kansas City Chiefs wanted wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for quite some time and finally landed him on Wednesday to put the pursuit at rest.
Hopkins is set to give the Chiefs a top-end wideout who can fill in for some of the production that was left behind with Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown both being sidelined. It wasn’t really a matter of if, more a matter of when the Chiefs were going to land Patrick Mahomes more help to chase their third straight Super Bowl.
It didn’t take former Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill long to react to the news. Wednesday morning he posted the photos below on Snapchat one after the other.

Make of the hiding and crying emojis what you will. Hill followed it up with the phone emoji and while some folks are running with that message, it is likely nothing. Hill may be asked about it at some point by reporters in Miami, otherwise he probably won’t speak on what he meant.
The Chiefs and Tyreek Hill have been apart for four seasons now. Kansas City has been able to find team success in a great way since the move. On the other hand, hill has been able to find great player success putting up over 1,700 receiving yards the last two seasons.
No words, no letters, just a picture and some emojis from Hill. That is his reaction to the Chiefs landing a Pro Bowl-level wide receiver. As Kansas City fans know, Hill has not been shy about talking about KC since he was traded to the Miami Dolphins.
If things go to according to plan for Kansas City, Hill will be watching Hopkins play in his first Super Bowl with the Chiefs come February.
