The Kansas City Chiefs were in a battle against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football and were somewhat struggling on both sides of the ball.

For the Chiefs' offense, they struggled to get anything going. That is until it happened.

A player that was supposed to be on the practice squad this year, just based on what he had done in the past, made an insane catch over one of the Chargers Pro Bowlers.

In the third quarter, while being down 17-7, the Chiefs exploded for a score. Mahomes was escaping the pocket due to a pass rush and launched the ball downfield to Justin Watson who was being covered by J.C. Jackson.

Jackson is a Pro Bowler, and one of the best cornerbacks in the league. Watson is a guy who barely made the 53-man roster. The play, in all reality, should not have happened.

Instead, it opened up the game, as the Chiefs would later tie the Chargers.

Take a look at the beautiful ball thrown by Mahomes and the beautiful catch by Watson.

Expect to see some more of that this season.
