The Chiefs have not been this early into their offseason since the 2018 season when they lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship. Kansas City has had pro-bowlers since 2018 but has not played in the pro-bowl since then until this weekend.

This offseason will be a bit different than what Chiefs fans may be used to from the last two seasons. Besides the early start, there are some things to think of for this team.

Kansas City Chiefs fans in for weird off-season

The first thing that is gonna happen that will be different, is the Chiefs may start to lose some of their coaching staff, and already have in Mike Kafka. Eric Bieniemy is reported to have an interview with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, and could very well get the job. Bieniemy is as qualified as any other candidate out there, so be prepared for anything.

One thing that has not happened in a while is the pro-bowl. Yes, it happens every year, but the Chiefs haven't had players actually play in it in a few years.

Over the last few days, social media has brought us plenty of videos of Mahomes and Kelce signing autographs. This is a perfect time to be able to relax, watch your favorite Chiefs players, and enjoy a game that has no impact on the team as a whole.

The most important thing over the next few months is what will happen in free agency. The Chiefs have a few players that will be hitting the market, including star safety, Tyrann Mathieu.

The Chiefs have positions that need to be filled and need more attention than others. However, they also have players that want to stay maybe for a bit more money than they already were getting. But, the luxury tax is a big thing for this team this offseason, especially with Mahomes contract. These are all things we will have to wait for and see what happens.

While this offseason is going to be different, no one can truly say what will happen. Now, you just have to wait and see, but trust that A to Z sports will be with you every step of the way.
