Dolphins’ 2026 mock draft roundup of recent scenarios reveals major quarterback intrigue and multiple paths to reshaping the roster
Who do the most recent 2026 NFL mock drafts have the Dolphins taking in April?
The NFL’s 2025 regular season is entering into the final stretch. The college football season is wrapping up this weekend, with conference championships and a playoff awaiting in December. As many teams wind down, the individual players will shift their focus to their futures. For some, that will include the NFL Draft. The Miami Dolphins are hopeful to see a flood of promising talent enter this year’s class, as Miami has more draft capital in the early rounds than they’ve seen in South Florida since 2021. And they need it.
What will they end up doing with all of that draft capital? Our staff at A to Z Sports has started to crank up the mock draft scenarios — offering a multitude of scenarios this past week. Here’s who our staff had Miami picking this past week in the league-wide 2026 NFL mock drafts.
A to Z Sports’ 2026 NFL mock draft roundup for Week 13 of the NFL regular season
Ryan Roberts’ 4-Round 2026 Mock Draft

10. Miami Dolphins: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama
“While the Tua Tagovailoa contract makes things difficult, it’s clear that he isn’t the answer long-term for a team that needs direction. Simpson isn’t perfect, but he’s shown some pretty clean processing in his first year as a starter and has some arm talent to work with.” – Roberts
44. Miami Dolphins: Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
75. Miami Dolphins: Domani Jackson, CB, Alabama
79. Miami Dolphins: Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn State
93. Miami Dolphins: Xavier Scott, DB, Illinois
110. Miami Dolphins: Duce Robinson, WR, Florida State
The opportunities to add a quarterback without sending extra draft picks to another team are obviously the most attractive given Miami’s needs on the roster. The Dolphins could be uniquely equipped to cater to Simpson’s profile given that he could, in theory, redshirt 2026 under Tagovailoa as Miami works through the last bulk of full guarantees on his contract.
Travis May’s 3-Round 2026 Mock Draft

10. Miami Dolphins: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
“Jordyn Tyson is an explosive playmaker who can win in any wide receiver role asked of him. He’s tallied nearly 2000 receiving yards in his last 20 games with 19 total touchdowns scored, even when opponents know he’s the only legitimate receiving threat on the team for Arizona State. He should be a nice long-term replacement option for Tyreek Hill and immediately gives the Dolphins one of the best wide receiver rooms in the game. He’s likely to test extremely well at the Combine with explosive speed and agility that will have NFL teams reaching for him early.” – May
44. Miami Dolphins: AJ Harris, CB, Penn State
75. Miami Dolphins: Joshua Josephs, EDGE, Tennessee
79. Miami Dolphins: AJ Haulcy, SAF, LSU
93. Miami Dolphins: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss
May is right about one thing — Miami needs a long-term replacement for Tyreek Hill. It’s hard to imagine him being back in 2026 despite whatever buzz you currently hear. I’m personally partial to Ohio State’s Carnell Tate as a wide receiver for Miami, thanks to his dominant size and surreal ball skills. But I’m not batting an eye at drafting a player at any position and neither should you. Miami needs more difference makers on the roster, period.
Destin Adams & Tyler Forness’ 1-Round 2026 Mock Draft

3. Miami Dolphins: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon (Trade)
“A second AFC East team decides to shake up the draft with the Dolphins moving up to three. This would be a significant risk because the Dolphins’ roster needs more help than just a QB right now, but they are desperate for a cultural reset.
They need to move on from Tua, and this move would show that they are committed to doing just that. Some may be surprised that this trade is for Dante Moore over Ty Simpson, but I think there’s less risk associated with Moore, which would be a better fit for Miami. Moore reminds me of C.J. Stroud and Dak Prescott, and the Dolphins need a true star under center, given their need to battle Josh Allen and Drake Maye for the division crown for the foreseeable future.” – Destin Adams
Go big or go home, I suppose. The proposed cost to move up for Moore means one thing — the Dolphins better be right. If they’re not, this loss in draft capital looms as a potential major weight on this franchise. The idea of Moore on the Dolphins is a fun one, however. I would assume a path like this is more likely with a new operation from top to bottom, as I have a hard time envisioning Miami giving these kinds of assets via trade in a half-reset while allowing Mike McDaniel to pick his own quarterback this offseason.
Destin Adams & Tyler Forness’ proposed Miami Dolphins 2026 NFL Draft trade
- Dolphins receive: 2026 1st round selection (3rd overall)
- Saints receive: 2026 1st round pick (10th overall), 2026 2nd round selection (42nd overall), 2027 first round selection
