Fox rules analyst Mike Pereira confirms referees made two mistakes that cost the Vikings in a major way
Are the referees out to get the Minnesota Vikings? If you ask fans, they will tell you that it feels like it. Sure, fans will have a biased view of things because it's their team being impacted. Sometimes, that will be a big factor in their viewpoint and it can be wrong because of it. […]

Sure, fans will have a biased view of things because it's their team being impacted. Sometimes, that will be a big factor in their viewpoint and it can be wrong because of it.
The last few weeks certainly give credence to the idea that the refs aren't doing a great job in calling Vikings games.
Mike Pereira confirms referees blew two calls in first quarter
This season, the referees blatantly missed a facemask against the Los Angeles Rams that had national media calling it out and the following week saw Grover Stewart hitting the facemask of Sam Darnold on a play that resulted in a scoop and score.
In a lesser extent, that happened again on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. On a first quarter punt, Vikings returner Brandon Powell got a sizable gain but it ended up being called back for an illegal block in the back and didn't call a late hit out of bounds.
On the broadcast, Fox's rules analyst and former NFL head of officiating Mike Pereira was asked about the two penalties and disagreed with both of their opinions, claiming that fullback C.J. Ham made contact on the side of the player and it's not a block in the back while also having this quote about the late hit out of bounds.
"This is a late hit. It's clearly gotten out of bounds and it is a forcible hit"
You make the call on both, as you can see both the called illegal block in the back and the uncalled late hit out of bounds.
