Saints continue to crush major off-season task
The Saints are working their magic in one area to perfection.
One thing is for certain, the New Orleans Saints are putting everything into fixing their salary cap nightmare.
Wednesday was their latest effort in getting this done as they have lowered the cap hit of tight end Taysom Hill.
Over the last few weeks, the Saints have gotten kicker Wil Lutz to take a pay cut and they have restructured the deals of Tyrann Mathieu and several others.
The Saints have made some signings during this process. Of course, the major one was inking quarterback Derek Carr to a four-year deal on Monday. Also, they signed defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon to a two-year extension last week.
There's still quite of bit of work to be done as the Saints are still $25 million over the cap at the moment. New Orleans is notorious for being in this position over the last several years but they always find a way to get under the cap and that's because Khai Harley, the Saints' vice president of football operations, just keeps working his magic.
