The struggle with wide receiver recruiting has been frustrating the last 12 months or so for Notre Dame football. Mike Brown and this offensive staff have been relentless on the recruiting trail recently, and we are starting to see positive momentum. That includes over the last several days following some particular unofficial visitors.

For the first time, 2026 Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School wide receiver Bubba Frazier made the trip to South Bend this past Friday for a multi-day visit. That trip apparently went very, very well. On3 vice president of recruiting Steve Wiltfong put in an expert prediction for Frazier to end up with the Fighting Irish.

Frazier is considered to be a four-star recruit right now on the 247Sports Composite ranking. He currently sits as the No. 353 overall player, No. 57 wide receiver, and No. 41 player in the state of Georgia in the 2026 recruiting class. The On3 Industry ranking rates him similarly, sitting as the No. 352 overall player in the class. Other platforms have Frazier graded as a three-star right now.

The Georgia star has continued to demand the attention of some impressive programs this offseason, and he has been on the road a lot the last few weeks. Some of his top offers include Notre Dame, Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia, Cincinnati, Memphis, and UCF among others.

While he may only be about 5-10 and 160 pounds, Frazier is extremely dangerous with the football in his hand. He finished his junior season with 46 receptions for 753 yards and five touchdowns. The dynamic athlete also had another 604 rushing yards and eight scores as a runner, while also being the main punt returner for Benedictine Military School.

When we have talked about top wide receiver targets on the 2026 recruiting board, Frazier hasn’t been someone people typically mention as a top target. It appears that could be changing. The Fighting Irish need to find players that make plays in space, and Frazier fits that label perfectly.
