The Tennessee Vols are reportedly among the early favorites for a 2026 four-star wide receiver from the west coast.

According to Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney, Tennessee is among the schools "leading the way" for four-star wide receiver Daniel Odom.

"Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Washington and Tennessee leading the way and it’s not clear if there’s a favorite yet," noted Gorney on Monday

Odom, 6-foot-1/178 lbs form Bellflower, CA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 22 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 18 player in the state of California. He's also rated as the No. 150 overall recruit in the 2026 recruiting class.

Scouting report via 247Sports: Has all the physical tools to be a dominant outside receiver at the college level. Good sized wide out pushing 6-2, 190 pounds and plays a physical game. Quick off the line and very good releases. Can beat press and uses his body well to create separation. Strong kid who can bully opposing corners and picks up a lot of yards after contact. Shows good top end speed and can routinely get behind a defense. Strong hands, dominant in the air and catches the ball well through contact. Really nice all around game and has a high ceiling with the talent to play at the high Power 4 level.

Odom hasn't visited Tennessee yet, but he mentioned to 247Sports last month that he plans to make a visit to Knoxville soon.

It's still early in Odom's recruitment, but it certainly sounds like the Vols are going to be a big factor for the California native.
