Lance Robinson

Age: 25
Year: 2nd
Position: Cornerback
College: Tulane
Previous Teams: None
Jersey Number: 39

Robinson enters his second season in the NFL and with the Bengals after going undrafted during the 2024 NFL Draft. He played six total seasons of college football with the first three at Kansas State (2018-20) before coming back to his hometown of New Orleans and playing his last three at Tulane (2021-23). He was a childhood friend of Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase, another Louisiana native.

Robinson played in Cincinnati’s first two preseason games last offseason, but a quadriceps injury kept him out of the third and final exhibition. He spent all of 2024 on the Reserve/Injured list.

Contract Details

Robinson is entering the second year of his three-year, $2.837 million college free agent deal he signed last year. He can earn a base salary of $840,000 this season, and when adding his signing bonus proration of $2,333, his 2025 salary cap hit amounts to $842,333.

Roster Outlook

Robinson may’ve missed out on making the practice squad last season due to injury, but staying on I.R. kept his contract intact and allowed him to get paid his full salary. Not every UDFA can say the same. Now that he’s healthy again, the practice squad is his most realistic goal unless several injuries occur at the cornerback position.
