The Kansas City Chiefs just bolstered their defensive front seven by acquiring pass rusher Josh Uche in a trade from the New England Patriots.

Uche won't be the only impact player coming in to help the Chiefs' defense during the second half of the season. Defensive lineman Charles Omenihu, who is on injured reserve following an ACL tear that he suffered during last year's AFC Championship game, is getting very close to returning.

Omenihu took to X to not only welcome Uche to the team, but to tease his nearing season debut.

Omenihu recorded seven sacks, 12 quarterback pressures and two forced fumbles in 11 games for the Chiefs last season. He has been working hard to return to the field, as shown in his YouTube documentary called "The Journey," which follows Omenihu's road to recovery.

Omenihu has hinted at the Chiefs' Week 13 Black Friday matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders as his target date to return. That would put him at about 10 months recovery time after suffering the injury last January. Omenihu is set to hit free agency following this season, so making an impact down the stretch of the season will be crucial for him securing the best contract he can.

When he returns, the Chiefs are going to be absolutely loaded along their defensive line. Anchored by All-Pro Chris Jones, guys like George Karlaftis, Tershawn Wharton, Mike Danna and Mike Pennel have all been big time contributors this season. Now with the addition of Uche and the pending return of Omenihu, K.C. will have perhaps the deepest and most talented front seven in the NFL.
