Chiefs final injury report: Latest update on Josh Simmons, Raiders potentially down two key starters on offense
Another clean injury report for Kansas City.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders are wrapping up preparations for their Week 7 matchup on Sunday.
The Chiefs are enjoying the momentum they’ve had with their health over the past few weeks. Meanwhile, the Raiders will be down two of their biggest playmakers on offense against Kansas City. Let’s examine each team’s final injury reports.
Chiefs’ final injury report
| Player | Injury | W/TH/F | Game Designation |
| OT Josh Simmons | Not injury related- Personal | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| RB Brashard Smith | Illness | DNP/FP/FP | — |
| WR Rashee Rice | Not injury related- (Other) | FP/FP/FP | — |
| WR Xavier Worthy | Shoulder/Ankle | FP/FP/FP | — |
| WR Hollywood Brown | Achilles | FP/FP/FP | — |
| WR Nikko Remigio | Thumb | FP/FP/FP | — |
| DL Charles Omenihu | Ankle | FP/FP/FP | — |
| DT Jerry Tillery | Elbow | —/FP/FP | — |
| OT Jawaan Taylor | Knee | FP/FP/FP | — |
Observations:
- Josh Simmons will miss his second consecutive game as he continues to deal with his personal situation. The Chiefs have understandably remained quiet about what he is dealing with. Jaylon Moore, who filled in admirably for Simmons last week, will start in Simmons’ place yet again.
- After missing Wednesday’s practice with an illness, Smith practiced in full on Thursday and Friday and is good to go on Sunday against the Raiders.
- Rice practiced in full all week and is set to makes his 2025 regular season debut.
Raiders’ final injury report
| Player | Injury | W/TH/F | Game Designation |
| TE Brock Bowers | Knee | DNP/DNP/LP | Doubtful |
| WR Jakobi Meyers | Knee/Toe | DNP/DNP/LP | Questionable |
| WR Alex Bachman | Ankle | —/LP/LP | Questionable |
| WR Justin Shorter | Illness | —/DNP/FP | — |
| RB Dylan Laube | Hamstring | DNP/LP/LP | — |
| DE Maxx Crosby | Back | —/—/LP | — |
Observations:
- It will be tough for Bowers to overcome his doubtful game designation and play on Sunday. Losing him is obviously a major blow to an already struggling Raiders passing attack.
- To make matters worse in that regard, both Meyers and Bachman are questionable. Rumors are swirling that Meyers could be getting traded soon, so it may be in Las Vegas’ best interest to sit him so he remains healthy.
- Crosby was a late addition to the injury report after being limited on Friday with a back injury. However, having no game designation means he’ll be fine to go barring a setback.
