Fifth-year NFL referee Adrian Hill and his crew have been assigned to the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game in Week 2 per Football Zebras.

The last game that Hill officiated for the Chiefs was their 26-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams in November of 2022. That was just the second Kansas City game that Hill has ever officiated. The team has a 2-0 record when he is the referee. As for the Jaguars, he has officiated five games since becoming a head referee. Jacksonville is 0-5 in those games, including their loss to the Denver Broncos in 2022.

Hill's crew called the seventh-most penalties in the NFL last season with 229 total flags thrown. Offensive holding and false start penalties were called at a high clip, per usual. However, this crew had a tendency to call defensive holding and defensive pass interference penalties a lot, with 31 combined penalties called.

Last week, Hill's crew officiated the Dallas Cowboys' "Monday Night Football" onslaught of the New York Giants. They had the third-fewest penalties (11) called in a single game in Week 1 this year. Defensive holding (3), offensive holding (2), and false start (2) were called with the greatest frequency. The home team was called for six penalties, while the away team was called for five.

This week, everyone is going to be looking for illegal formation penalties as it was made a point of emphasis after a Week 1 outcry surrounding Chiefs RT Jawaan Taylor. Let's just say, it didn't seem that way last night in the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings. That said, Hill and his crew called three illegal formation penalties in 2022, which was right around the league average.
