Will late travel impact the Chiefs?

A big point of discussion this week has been how traveling for the game will impact each team. The Dolphins left early for Frankfurt, Germany, while the Chiefs left later in the week. Travis Kelce had some thoughts on the whole situation when speaking with media members on Friday.

"There has been a lot of talk about us coming out here later and not having the time to acclimate," Kelce said. "I'll be the one to say that, we've got a team that's ready to roll anytime, anywhere. Whether it's in the parking lot, on some nice grass, or in a mud field. We don't care. It's all mental for us and we're ready to rock and roll."

The peanut gallery has since come out and said, "Well, what happened in Denver last week?" Needless to say, they're entirely different situations and there is a lot of research and experience that went into the Chiefs' travel decision.

3 players to keep an eye on:

TE Travis Kelce: Speaking of Kelce, he's due for a big game after a down performance against the Denver Broncos. The Dolphins are one of the worst teams in the NFL defending the tight end position, allowing the third-most receptions and sixth-most yards to the positions so far this season. It doesn't matter what Tyreek Hill told his teammates about the Chiefs' offense. Kelce should get his fair share of action in this game.

CB L'Jarius Sneed: If there was one player on defense who didn't have a good game in Week 8 against the Broncos, it was Sneed. He was called for multiple penalties and generally looked outmatched against Courtland Sutton. As the only corner to practice against Tyreek Hill when he was in Kansas City, Sneed should see a fair amount of Hill 1-on-1. That could prove problematic if Sneed continues to struggle as he did a week ago.

RB Jerick McKinnon: Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn't make the trip to Germany. McKinnon has been hampered by a groin injury the past two weeks, but he doesn't carry a game status designation for Sunday. The Chiefs are going to need McKinnon to be at his best to properly provide Isiah Pacheco with some backup.
