To the casual national observer, the Tennessee Titans wide receiver room probably looks like Calvin Ridley and a bunch of nothing. But if you’ve been paying attention, you know that this unit is shaping up to be the most interesting on the team in 2025.

This is the complete WR installment of an ongoing article series, breaking down the Titans projected 53-man roster one position at a time. Here's what we've covered so far, in case you've missed it:

In this edition, we’ll look at four big picture narratives for the group Cam Ward will be targeting in the fall:

Wide Receivers

  1. Calvin Ridley
  2. Van Jefferson
  3. Elic Ayomanor
  4. Chimere Dike
  5. Tyler Lockett
  6. Bryce Oliver
  7. Xavier Restrepo

Cut: James Proche, Colton Dowell, Treylon Burks, Jha’Quan Jackson, Mason Kinsey, TJ Sheffield

Calvin Ridley’s Career Year?

The Titans have one surefire contributor at receiver, and his name is Calvin Ridley. But after just barely reaching the 1000 yard mark in 2024, what will a bump in QB play and increased comfortability in the offense mean for his impact?

I think it sets him up for a really big season. And in speaking with him and his coaches, they seem to feel the same way. Click the link below to read all about the statistical reasons for optimism with Cam Ward’s top target:

Setting Expectations For The Youth Movement

The Titans have three rookie receivers receiving hype this summer, and at least two of them are going to be an impact in some form or fashion this fall. Their pair of 4th Round picks, Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike, have both impressed so far in more ways than one. But what will their roles be? When will we start to see their impact? And just how much can you reasonably expect from a pair of Day 3 picks as rookies?

Click below for all the insight, numbers, and history you need to answer each of those questions:

Veterans You Hope You Don’t Need

Before drafting a pair of receivers, the Titans signed a pair of vets to shore up the room no matter how it shook out. Now that we’re in the thick of that shaking… what will their roles be?

Van Jefferson and Tyler Lockett have different roster securities and different upsides, and they both fit into this bucket of guys you’re glad to have but hope get passed up by younger, higher ceiling players. Click the link below for all the details on where they’re expected to fall on the depth chart, how and when they’ll be used, and what kind of security they bring Cam Ward this year:

Battle For The Final Spot

Will the Titans keep six receivers, or will it be seven? I wrote at the link below about why I’m confident I know which it will be, and why I’m less confident about who it will be. Oh, and there’s a roster lock in this room that people aren’t yet talking about in that way. I explain why that is, and what will become of the riff raff right here:
