When talking about Notre Dame 2027 quarterback recruiting, most seem to know where things stand currently. The Fighting Irish opted to only offer two signal callers a few weeks ago, Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb quarterback Teddy Jarrard and Shreveport (Louis.) Evangel Christian star Peyton Houston

While Houston is extremely talented, he feels very unlikely with where things stand today. He has already been predicted to land with Oklahoma and USC, so things are moving quickly, and Notre Dame has barely gotten a mention.

When it comes to Jarrard, things are in a much better place. In fact, I really, really like how things are trending with the Georgia signal caller. That includes Notre Dame landing inside of his top five schools list recently, along with Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State.

On3/Rivals vice president Steve Wiltfong also likes where Notre Dame is with Jarrard. He even put in an expert prediction for the Fighting Irish to land the talented passer this past week.

Jarrard has continued to rise up the rankings this offseason with his consistent performances at camps and on the 7-on-7 circuit. He is now considered a four-star recruit according to the On3 Industry and 247Sports Composite rankings. The former has Jarrard currently pegged as the No. 171 overall player, No. 12 quarterback, and No. 24 player in the state of Georgia for the 2026 recruiting class.

Rivals is even higher on Jarrard than the consensus. In a recent recruiting update, they had him ranked as the No. 2 overall quarterback in the class.

247Sports continues to be the outlier, ranking Jarrard as a three-star player. That remains true even after their most recent ranking update, which is bizarre.

Like his recruiting rankings, Jarrard’s offer list has also continued to get more and more impressive over the last couple of months. Some of his top offers so far include the Fighting Irish, Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, Miami, Auburn, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Indiana, UNC, NC State, Illinois, Mississippi State, Syracuse, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Duke, and Cincinnati among several others.

The 6-3, 196-pound passer experienced a breakout season as a sophomore. In his first year as the full time starter, Jarrard threw for 2,647 yards and 31 touchdowns while only throwing five interceptions and completing nearly 72 percent of his passes. The Georgia native also added another rushing score on the ground.
