While there is a new regime in town for the Las Vegas Raiders, there was one thing in particular that the last general manager, Tom Telesco, did well — drafted Brock Bowers, the best tight end in the league already.
Bowers was a rookie last year, and yet, he was by far the best tight end in the league. It actually wasn't close. Now, will he have a sophomore slump in 2025, now that there is more film on him, and defenses can plan better? Maybe, but I seriously doubt he has a bad season. He now has a better quarterback, more weapons around him, and a competent head coach with competent play calling.
ESPN took a poll from different coaches and executives around the league, and Bowers was voted the best tight end in the league, just like he should be.
Bowers makes history in our Top 10 poll — he's the first player to rank No. 1 at his position after his rookie year. From Joe Burrow to Justin Jefferson and Sauce Gardner, many came close but couldn't quite pull off the feat. Bowers, however, narrowly outdistanced Kittle in the polls after earning more than 50% of the first-place votes. He was the highest-graded overall player in the 2024 draft in the eyes of some NFL scouts, but the position he plays, coupled with a strong quarterback draft, dropped him to the No. 13 pick. – Jeremy Fowler, ESPN
He will end up No. 1 on the list this time next year. But, that's not what this little article is about/ Bowers is also the best tight end off the field. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but just trust me here.
On Saturday, there was a celebrity softball game at the Las Vegas Aviators ball park, and Brock Bowers showed why he is an ultimate athlete. He hit several home runs, including one that, according to several, went out of the ballpark and into the parking lot for the Vegas Golden Knights practice facility next door.
Bowers is just a pure athlete.
Brock Bowers’ favorite activity to do is a perfect fit for what Las Vegas Raiders fans crave
The Raiders offense was brutal in 2024.
