Lions had a top 30 meeting with Georgia offensive lineman who allowed one sack in his college career

We know the Detroit Lions are going to be looking for some offensive line help in the 2025 NFL Draft and we know that they've already had a top-30 visit with North Dakota State offenisve lineman Grey Zabel already. That's the top of the draft spectrum for the Lions at that spot.
If they wanted to go a little later, one really good option is Georgia guard Dylan Fairchild. The Lions had a top-30 visit with him on Wednesday.
Fairchild was a starting left guard for the Bulldogs in the last two years, and he performed really well. He allowed a total of 14 pressures and just one sack in those two seasons.
The Athletic's Dane Brugler has Fairchild as his seventh-best guard in the draft in The Beast scouting guide. The reason he has him so low is that Fairchild does lack some experience. He's a two-year starter at Georgia, but previous to that, he came off the bench for his first two seasons there. But Brugler does see upside.
"Fairchild is built to hold his ground and jolt defenders at the point of attack, and he plays with the fierce demeanor to win his individual battles (wrestling mentality). At times, his feet, hands, and eyes can get slightly disjointed as he responds to quickness, but he flashes dominance when his moving parts all stay on the same page. Overall, Fairchild lacks experience — and it shows at times — but he is powerful, tough, and naturally aggressive. I expect him to continue getting better with additional reps. He is an ascending prospect with NFL starting upside, in the Wyatt Teller mold."
Brugler compares him to Browns guard Wyatt Teller. If that's the case, the Lions would get a guy who has All-Pro starter upside in the third round. That feels like quite the steal.
