The Steelers have a lot of pressing needs on their roster.

However, the WR #3, CB #2, DL, and RB positions pale in comparison to what they have to do at the QB position.

So, that has a lot of people mocking QB to the Steelers. At 21, at 83, or even later in the draft.

According to one Steelers insider, that's a good bet to make…

Steelers expected to select a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft

“I kind of feel like they’re gonna draft a quarterback no matter what," said Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Aaron Rodgers is gonna be 42 next fall. It’s a one-year deal with him; we all know that. So their 2025 draft process doesn’t really change a whole heck of a lot. I still think they’re gonna draft one. I think just, now, it’s a matter of what round.”

That last part is the million dollar question. It's a foregone conclusion that Pittsburgh will take at least one quarterback swing in next week's draft. But on whom? And perhaps more importantly, at what pick?

If they want Sheduer Sanders, whom they recently met with, they will have to take him in round one. That is especially true after the news involving the New Orleans Saints and quarterback Derek Carr.

But according to Adam Schefter, that is the only QB they would consider in round one anyway

“I was of the mind that Pittsburgh was not taking a quarterback in Round 1,” Schefter said on his podcast. “I think the only quarterback that they would consider, me reading between the lines, would be Shedeur. But I can’t imagine he’s gonna slide to 21. Would Pittsburgh be willing to trade up to a certain point to go get Shedeur Sanders, if he gets past those other spots? If the Browns don’t take Shedeur Sanders at two, and if the Giants don’t take Shedeur Sanders at three, and that is the feel that I’m getting recently, where is Shedeur Sanders going?"

Of course, there is also Jaxson Dart to consider, and Jalen Milroe. Those two feel more like second-round picks in the eyes of the Steelers, but the draft is always unpredictable, and Pittsburgh could make their way up from 83 or reach at 21 if they feel pressed.

We'll have the answers to the test soon enough.
