The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Detroit Lions walked out with blank from blank state. Now we wait to see what happens on Friday night when the Lions have the 60th pick in the second round and the 102nd pick in the third round.

With that in mind, here are the Lions' biggest remaining needs going into day two.

Edge

This was the route; probably 95% of Lions fans were hoping Detroit would go in the first round. Don't worry, though, there are still plenty of really good edges on day two. Guys like Boston College's Donovan Ezeiruaku, Marshall's Mike Green, Michigan's Josaiah Stewart, South Carolina's Kyle Kennard, LSU's Sai'Vion Jones, Ole Miss' Jared Ivey, and Central Arkansas' David Walker.

Offensive lineman

This felt like the safe pick for the Lions in the first round, but they didn't wind up going that way. There's still going to be a hefty amount of good offensive linemen on day two. Guys like Georgia's Tate Rutledge, LSU's Miles Frazier, Georgia's Dylan Fairchild, Purdue's Marcus Mbow, Arizona's Jonah Savaiinea, and North Carolina State's Anthony Belton.

Wide Receiver

It was kind of a long shot that the Lions would go this route in the first round, but it wasn't totally out of the question. There's still going to be some good receivers out there. Iowa State's Jayden Higgins, Stanford's Elic Ayomanor, Illinois' Pat Bryant, Arkansas' Isaac TeSlaa, and Colorado State's Tory Horton.

Safety

It's lower on the needs list, but the Lions could use some safety depth going forward. Day two could be the best time to do that with guys like Virginia's Jonas Sanker, Texas' Andrew Mukuba, Penn State's Jaylen Reed, Cal's Craig Woodson, and Ohio State's Lathan Ransom.
