WrestleMania 41 is this weekend, and I don't know about you, but I am so ready for this little break ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. On the way out, I want to have a little fun. So here's a mock draft for the Lions with only WWE Superstars who have played in the NFL or NCAA.

The big thing I wanted to focus on here was trying to draft only guys who played at positions of need for the Lions. It was fun finding everyone. Here's the mock:

28th pick: Roman Reigns, Edge, Georgia Tech

The Lions start off with the guy in the main event on night one. Reigns played at Georgia Tech with former Lions legend Calvin Johnson back in 2005 and 2006. He had a decent senior season with 40 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, and 4.5 sacks.

Reigns (Real name Joe Anoa'i) didn't get drafted, but he did get signed as an undrafted free agent by the Vikings. He was diagnosed with leukemia during his physical there, and Minnesota released him. He spent a week with the Jaguars that same year, and that was that for his NFL career. He was in a ring shortly after.

60th pick: John Cena, OL, Springfield College

The Lions need an interior offensive lineman, and here’s their guy. Cena was an NCAA Division III All-American center at Springfield. He was also a team captain, so you know he would fit the culture.

On top of being a solid center, Cena was a winning bodybuilder who had tremendous strength and speed. We all saw him get The Big Show up for an Attitude Adjustment. You have to imagine he could move a nose tackle around. Cena never played in the NFL, by the way.

102nd pick: Bron Breakker, RB/WR, Kennesaw State

Have you ever seen this guy run the ropes? He has unbelievable speed for a wrestler. He ran a 4.50 at his Pro Day. That's not super fast by NFL speed, but come on, people, I'm trying to build a mock draft with wrestlers here.

Brekker (real name Bronson Rechsteiner) went undrafted but was signed by the Ravens. He wound up getting cut ahead of the 2020 season, and nobody else picked him.

Side note: Imagine the special teams ability with a guy who can hit like this:

130th pick: Bill Goldberg, DT, Georgia

Some interior defensive line depth is always a good thing to have, and the Lions could get that from Goldberg. He had a solid senior year with first-team All-SEC honors.

Goldberg got drafted by the Rams in the 11th round of the 1990 NFL Draft. He spent two years there. He also played for the Falcons for three years and spent a little time with the Panthers, too.

196th pick: Trill London, DB, Syracuse

I’m slightly cheating here. London is in the WWE, but he hasn’t even been wrestling for an entire year yet. I challenge you to find a WWE wrestler who also played in the secondary, though.

London (real name Trill Williams) went undrafted in 2021, but he was signed by the Saints and then spent two seasons with the Dolphins before struggling to find a new team to play with and heading to wrestling.

228th pick: Big E, DL, Iowa

He’s a bit undersized for the defensive tackle spot at 5-foot-11 and 285 pounds, but as we know, the Lions do not care about measureables as much as every other team does. Big E is a project for Detroit.

E (real name Ettore Ewen) was not a starter at Iowa, but was a guy that Hawkeyes fans really loved. He did not declare for the NFL Draft.

244th pick: Titus O’Neill, Edge, Florida

How about one more edge rusher? Another project for the Lions. O’Neil did not start during his four seasons at Florida, but he was a good depth edge to have off the bench. Perhaps Kacy Rodgers could unlock his next level.

O'Neill (real name Thadeus Bullard) did not get drafted in the NFL and wound up spending five years playing in the Arena Football League.
