Notre Dame football is in the middle of a very important month of June for the 2026 recruiting class, and things are really going to start heating up. On Tuesday, the Fighting Irish staff is set to host three talented recruits for official visits, and it is a very intriguing overall group of players.

It’s a smaller group, and there is a reason for that. All three of them are players that Notre Dame is viewed as wildcards for, and certainly not the favorite. Head coach Marcus Freeman and his staff have their work cut out for them, but they have a chance to make a statement.

TE Ian Premer – Great Bend (Kansas) High School

Notre Dame believes they are in a good spot with Premer heading into the official visit, but most believe that he will land somewhere in the Big 12. Kansas State is viewed as the leader, but the Irish staff is pushing very hard. The 6-3, 225-pound pass catcher is viewed as a top-50 overall player by multiple recruiting platforms, and a player Notre Dame wants desperately. They are a dark horse who can make some noise with a big visit.

DT Noah Clark – Durham (N.C.) CE Jordan

A massive presence on the interior at 6-4 and 330 pounds, Clark is set to make his college decision on July 2. These official visits are going to be extremely important down the stretch. Heading into this trip, it is expected that Clark stays in the Carolinas, and South Carolina is viewed as the front runner. While Notre Dame is unlikely, we will have a pretty good idea how much of a factor they will be following this visit.

LB Talanoa Ili – Kahuku (Hawaii) High School

The Ili recruitment has been a pretty bizarre one for some time now. He is a player that the Irish staff has been high on for a couple of years, and have maintained strong contact with. The 6-3, 215-pound linebacker has also always said great things about Notre Dame, but they have seemed to be on the list, but a bit further down. A California native originally, Ili is expected to stay on the West Coast, but let’s see if this visit changes anything.
