Head coach Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame program are busy putting together a tremendous 2026 recruiting class. They are coming off of their biggest recruiting weekend of the year, and a wave of momentum is coming. That makes it a perfect time to predict what the final class could look like for the Fighting Irish.

Here is my prediction for the final offensive class. I broke the class up into the backfield, pass catchers, and offensive line to make it easily digestible. It is an impressive group for the most part, but there is still one group that does give me slight pause.

BACKFIELD

We are going to start off on a pretty boring note. We know that Noah Grubbs is the quarterback for this class, and that isn’t going to change. Notre Dame also has commitments from star running backs Javian Osborne and Jonaz Walton, which is one of the very best running back duos in the 2026 recruiting class. It’s a stellar group, and there should be a lot of optimism for what that backfield is going to look like in the future.

Here are the projected quarterback and running back commits for the final class.

QB Noah Grubbs – Lake Mary (Fla.) High School

RB Javian Osborne – Forney (Texas) High School

RB Jonaz Walton – Carrollton (Ga.) Central

PASS CATCHERS

I’ll keep it this simple, until Mike Brown proves me wrong for wide receiver recruiting, I’m going to have my doubts.

Notre Dame is in a pretty good position for Aledo (Texas) High School star Kaydon Finley and Red Oak (Texas) High School space dynamo Brayden Robinson, but I have my doubts whether they will be able to close on both. I do like where the team is for Devin Fitzgerald, and expect him to be in the class. Texas speedster Jayden Warren has been discussed a lot, but I don't see that one for the Irish right now. They just got into the fold a little too late.

Following the official visit weekend, I do like where Notre Dame is for tight ends Evan Jacobson and Preston Fryzel. They are both very different football players, and would be a very talented duo.

Here is the final projected pass catchers in the 2026 class.

WR Bubba Frazier – Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School

WR Dylan Faison – Boca Raton (Fla.) St. Andrews School

WR Devin Fitzgerald – Phoenix (Az.) Brophy Prep

WR Brayden Robinson – Red Oak (Texas) High School

TE Evan Jacobson – Waukee (Iowa) High School

TE Preston Fryzel – Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic

OFFENSIVE LINE

Notre Dame has been heavily pursuing Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh, who just took an official visit to South Bend this past weekend. While Joe Rudolph has done a great job with McKeogh, I think he ends up with Penn State. Regardless, this will end up being a very good offensive line group even without the 6-7, 270-pound McKeogh.

Here is the final projected offensive line class.

OT Gregory Patrick – Portage (Mich.) Northern

OL Tyler Merrill – Mechanicsburg (Pa.) Cumberland Valley

OL Ben Nichols – Davison (Mich.) High School

OL Sullivan Garvin – Allegan (Mich.) High School
