Vikings make roster move after mandatory minicamp

After mandatory minicamp ended, the Vikings made a roster move to fortify their offensive line. They signed offensive lineman Vershon Lee and released safety Bubba Bolden

The Vikings added Bolden this March during the peak of free agency, which was a little bit of a surprise. He was seen as a depth add at the position, especially since he doesn't have a full season vested in the NFL at age 26. Moving on from him at this point says something about his performance and how confident they are in the secondary.

Lee is a rookie out of South Carolina who went undrafted in this year's NFL Draft. He was a five year player for the Gamecocks with 40 starts in 51 career games. The really intriguing thing for Lee is they came at three different positions. That kind of thing is key for backup offensive linemen, as you need to be ready to play multiple spots in case someone gets hurt.

The Vikings could end up making more moves across the board with mandatory minicamp now done.
