The Las Vegas Raiders are almost set to kick off free agency next week. On Monday, they can start negotiating deals, and that's really where the mayhem and madness start. The Raiders will be at the forefront of much of it.

So far the Raiders have brought back Isaiah Pola-Mao on an extension, signed Maxx Crosby to an extension, signed Alex Cappa after playing for the Cincinnati Bengals, and then traded for former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. And all of this is within the last month or so, before free agency even starts. Oh, and just Sunday night we got news that the Raiders are expected to re-sign defensive tackle Adam Butler.

They don't have near the same amount of money to work with as they did when this whole thing kicked off, but they still have a good bit to use. And with what they are expected to have, which is around the $40 million area, they can still make some moves. I'm predicting that they do.

Raiders 2025 Free Agency Predictions

There are so many different outcomes that could happen with this Raiders team and free agency. They still have so many needs to address, whether through free agency or the 2025 NFL Draft. If they were to go the free agency route, I predict the Raiders will sign or re-sign a handful of guys.

Robert Spillane, LB, Las Vegas Raiders

The quarterback of their defense — Spillane has been a vital part of two years with a great defense. If the Raiders want a guy back who knows defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, the tendencies he likes, and can run a defense while on the field, they need to bring back their guy. The only thing is the linebacker market is currently a lot larger than we all originally thought, just look at the Philadelphia Eagles LB Zach Baun and the Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton. Spotrac currently has Spillane's market value at $10.4 million.

Tre'Von Moehrig, S, Las Vegas

This would be considered the second quarterback of the defense, and certainly the quarterback of the secondary. Moehrig is considered a veteran now, and man he has grown up right in front of our eyes. He went from being a player who wasn't very good his rookie year, to progressively getting better, and now being one of the best safeties in the league. He won't be cheap, though. The Raiders may have to sacrifice some things if they want to bring him back, which I think they will. His market value is currently set at $15.7 million.

Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Las Vegas Raiders need to get weapons around Geno Smith as soon as they possibly can. There seems to be some interest in Chris Godwin, a guy who, before his injury, played at a very elite level. Will he get back to that level? Well, no one really knows. There seem to be thoughts that he could also return to the Buccaneers. Getting a healthy Godwin next to Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers could be legit. His market value sits at $31.5 million a year. That's a lot of money, and if they made this move, the Raiders would likely be done in free agency. Who knows.

Nate Hobbs, CB/NB, Las Vegas Raiders

I know I know, this article is becoming an article on the Raiders bringing back all of their defensive players, but, that's what Pete Carroll said he wanted to do. And, with how the defense was last year, why not? I think this whole thing could end up playing out as the Raiders making one or two additions on the offensive side and saving that for the draft. That being said, Hobbs is one of the only ones I could see not coming back, because his market is nice at the moment. His value currently sits at $3 million per year, something the Raiders could easily do. It's about what other teams offer at this point.

Malcolm Koonce, DE, Las Vegas Raiders

Okay, last one, I swear. I know this article isn't very entertaining so far because only one of these guys wasn't on the team last year, but this is truly how I see it all playing out. The Raiders want their defense back. Koonce showed a ton of potential the season before last when he had a stellar second half of the season. This injury should lower his cost, which should make it easy for the Raiders to retain him. His market value is about  $20 million per year. That's a much bigger number than the Raiders may like to pay, so we will see.

Tyler Lockett, WR, Seattle Seahawks

This is really the only other player I could see the Raiders targeting in free agency who isn't one of their own. Yes, they had a lot of money to work with coming into the season, but they also had a lot of players to bring back. Luckily, Lockett is cheap, knows Pete Carroll and Geno Smith, and could be a great third option in this offense after having 600 receiving yards as the third option last season. His market value is currently $7.7 million.
