What a career it was for Notre Dame linebacker Jack Kiser, who was originally an underrated recruit coming out of the small in-state high school school of Pioneer. He was a member of the 2019 recruiting class, which featured players like Kyle Hamilton, Kyren Williams, Isaiah Foskey, Cam Hart, Howard Cross III, JD Bertrand, and Marist Liufau. At the time, Kiser was hardly talked about, but fast forward six years and he ended his Fighting Irish career playing in 69 career games, recording 275 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, six sacks, four interceptions, and six forced fumbles.

Kiser has seen a lot of football in his career, has played with a lot of great players, and played against even more. It is safe to say that he knows what talent looks like. During Kiser’s media availability at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, the talented linebacker was asked about the next Notre Dame draft prospects everyone should know.

As you may have predicted, Kiser was able to list a long list of outstanding football players. That is a testament to the talent that head coach Marcus Freeman and the staff is continuing to bring to the Irish roster.

“Obviously, you have Jeremiyah Love, and what he was able to do this year,” Kiser said. “You have a plethora of young guys too. Leonard Moore stepped up as a true freshman and played really good ball. Christian Gray, the other cornerback, came up in big moments all year. On the defensive side there are so many younger players, Boubacar Traore, Bryce Young, he’s an NFL pedigree guy with his dad.

“On offense, we have some young offensive linemen we have coming in, some wide receivers. There’s a lot of talent at Notre Dame.”

As illustrated, outside of Love, the offense is still trending upward in terms of next level talent. The defense, however, has studs everywhere. Over the next several draft cycles, Notre Dame can have top 100 selections from every level of that defense. That will more than likely begin in the 2026 NFL Draft class
