Notre Dame football is pursuing an extremely talented group of 2026 defensive line recruits. One of the more talented names to know is Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian School pass rusher Dre Quinn. The Irish staff has made a lot of progress with Quinn over the last several weeks, and will continue to push hard.
Battling amongst an elite group of suitors, Notre Dame was able to earn an official visit from the Georgia standout. Quinn will be heading for his first visit to South Bend on June 3-5. He will also be taking visits to Clemson (May 30-June 1), Georgia (June 8-10), Georgia Tech (June 11-12), USC (June 13-15), Mississippi State (June 18-19), and Tennessee (June 20-22). He is expected to make a summer decision after these visits.
If Quinn ends up just making one visit to Notre Dame, it is unlikely they end up earning a commitment from the talented pass rusher. The odds are that he stays in the Southeast right now, but Notre Dame is fighting hard.
From a recruiting rankings perspective, the opinions on Quinn vary a bit. He is only considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports currently. Quinn is, however, considered a four-star recruit on both the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry rankings, coming in as the No. 264 and No. 242 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class respectively.
If you aren’t impressed by Quinn’s rankings, you will be by his offer list. Some of the top programs that are pursuing the talented defensive end include the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU, Miami, Tennessee, USC, Auburn, Florida State, Clemson, and Nebraska among many others.
From a production perspective, Quinn has not quite been able to take that massive step yet. As a junior, the 6-4, 228-pound defense was able to record 42 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. Quinn also forced a fumble, recovered another, and hauled in seven receptions for 129 yards as a part-time player on offense.
