Longtime NFL draft analyst Todd McShay thinks a former Tennessee Vols standout is "flying under the radar" ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

McShay, who spent nearly two decades at ESPN, said on The McShay Show that he thinks Tennessee defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott is a guy that's being a bit overlooked.

"He is, he is [flying under the radar]," said McShay. "I've been screaming about him since, like, late in the season."

"I think he's the sixth best defensive tackle in this class," added McShay. "And I'm fighting not to bring him up even higher."

McShay's co-host, Steve Muench, pointed out how under control Norman-Lott was during drills at the combine last week as evidence that the former Vol is a strong NFL draft prospect.

Norman-Lott is flying under the radar mostly because of how he was used at Tennessee.

The California native, who started his career at Arizona State before transferring to Tennessee ahead of the 2023 season, averaged just 17 snaps per game in 2024. The main reason Norman-Lott didn't play more snaps at Tennessee is because the Vols utilize a heavy defensive line rotation (in an effort to keep players as fresh as possible).

Norman-Lott told reporters at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis last week that NFL teams have been asking him about his low snap count at Tennessee.

“Actually a lot of teams asked me, almost every one,” said Norman-Lott in response to questions about his snap count. “It’s just the rotation and (Vols defensive line coach) Rodney Garner’s philosophy of keeping tread off his players' legs, keeping them fresh. I’m in a rotation of three sets of two D-tackles that could all potentially be starters at different schools. And I just had to be selfless enough to let my brothers eat, too.”

Norman-Lott had a solid performance at the Senior Bowl earlier this year. And based on McShay's comments at the combine, it sounds like he's a player that could be selected earlier than expected in the 2025 NFL Draft later this spring.
