For the most part, former LSU All-American left tackle Will Campbell is a universally liked prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft class. In fact, he is one of the higher floor players in the class regardless of position. The only major question people have is whether Campbell is best at left tackle or inside at guard on the next level.

For those who project Campbell better inside, the conversation centers around two major issues. Those are Campbell’s lack of arm length and ordinary athletic traits. While the length won’t play into Campbell’s favor (just 32 ¾ inches), he was able to answer the latter at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

The former LSU star was able to put together one of the more impressive athleticism showing for an offensive tackle over the last few years. At nearly 6-6 and 319 pounds, Campbell posted a tremendous time of 4.98 seconds in the forty-yard dash. He also had a 32-inch vertical jump and a 9’ 5” broad jump. Each of those tests were among the best of the offensive line group.

With the workout, Campbell also managed to earn a place amongst an impressive group of past participants. He was one of only four players in Combine history to post a vertical jump over 30 inches, and run a sub 5-second forty-yard dash while being over 315 pounds.

Campbell was joined on that list by fellow 2025 prospect Armand Membou, as well as All-Pros Trent Williams (San Francisco 49ers) and Tristan Wirfs (Tampa Bay Buccaneers). When you talk about the biggest freaks at offensive tackle in the NFL, Williams and Wirfs usually make up the shortlist. Between the two of them, they have made 15 Pro Bowls and have also been named All-Pro five times.

Some were surprised by Campbell’s performance, and it could go a long way toward solidifying his opportunity at offensive tackle. That testing is also going to be big for Campbell to solidify himself right near the top of the offensive line group. Don’t be surprised if he goes top ten overall when April comes around.
